nopLunr is a plug-and-play nopCommerce plugin that enhances the nopCommerce’s search results without the need to install third party services such as Solr or Elastic Search. It works better than SQL’s “full-text search” in terms of speed, accuracy and “phrase match” capability. It takes into consideration grammatical properties such as tenses and singular / plural.

On top of the default search on Product Title and Product Description, it also allows (if enabled) searching on Product Attribute, Specification Attribute and Product Tag. It can be configured to enable Ajax filter to filter products attribute and manufacturers. Furthermore, It also can be configured to use “loose match” using either Fuzzy Search or Wildcard Search.

nopLunr not only supports English but also support Multi-Language such as Italian, Deutsch and etc. We will continue to develop more languages to support.

With the help of nopLunr, your nopCommerce stores can provide better search experience to the users with faster and more accurate product searches – all without the need for complicated setup.

Disclaimer: This plugin is a lightweight implementation of full-featured search engines such as Lucene, Solr and ElasticSearch. We have only tested the plugin on nopCommerce store with up to 2000 products, and it still runs smoothly. If your store has more than 2000 products, we recommend you seek solution on the previously mentioned search engines.
